Oyster Perpetual Datejust 36

Datejust
36

The watch that put the date on the dial in 1945. Still made in Geneva, still 36 millimetres.

1926

The Oyster case

A screw-down case back, bezel and winding crown seal the movement in. It was the first wristwatch case built to keep water and dust out, and every Datejust is still built around it.

1931

Winds itself

The Perpetual rotor swings freely with every movement of your wrist and keeps the mainspring wound. Wear it daily and you never have to touch the crown.

1953

The Cyclops lens

A small magnifier on the crystal, placed over the date window, makes the number two and a half times larger. You read the date at a glance.
